Because of this oath, Jesus has become the guarantee of a better covenant. Now there have been many of those priests, since death prevented them from continuing in office; but because Jesus lives forever, he has a permanent priesthood. Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them. Such a high priest meets our need--one who is holy, blameless, pure, set apart from sinners, exalted above the heavens. Unlike the other high priests, he does not need to offer sacrifices day after day, first for his own sins, and then for the sins of the people. He sacrificed for their sins once for all when he offered himself. (Hebrews 7:22-27)

God

"It is written: "'As surely as I live,' says the Lord, 'every knee will bow before me; every tongue will confess to God.'" Romans 14:11

"...that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth," Philippians 2:10

God

"...and he will be a sanctuary; but for both houses of Israel he will be a stone that causes men to stumble and a rock that makes them fall. And for the people of Jerusalem he will be a trap and a snare." Isaiah 8:14

"...and, "A stone that causes men to stumble and a rock that makes them fall." They stumble because they disobey the message--which is also what they were destined for." 1Peter 2:8

God

"I will open my mouth in parables, I will utter hidden things, things from of old--" Psalms 78:2

"So was fulfilled what was spoken through the prophet: "I will open my mouth in parables, I will utter things hidden since the creation of the world." Matthew 13:35

Thomas said to him, "Lord, we don't know where you are going, so how can we know the way?" Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him." Philip said, "Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us." Jesus answered: "Don't you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, 'Show us the Father'? Don't you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you are not just my own. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work. Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the miracles themselves. (John 14:5-11 NIV)

The 66 books of the Bible that we have today were written by about 40 different persons over more than a thousand years. When you study the Bible it becomes obvious that even though each writers style is unique, the underlining truths give a clarifying united perspective. Even with all of our modern advances in science the Bible has stood the test of time, proven accurate both as a historical record and scientifically. It is important to know that you cannot take any one verse of the Bible and try to apply it in a way that is contrary to the rest of the Bible. This is why we have listed so many verses to get a whole view of scriptures concerning the deity of Jesus. If you really want to know what God is trying to say, then let the Bible interpret itself as you study the whole Bible and see what it says about all aspects of an issue.

We cannot fully comprehend the relationship between God the Father, Jesus the Messiah, and the Holy Spirit. It is not required that we understand how Jesus can be both fully God and fully man but it is clear from the volume of scripture that this is the case. The scriptures clearly state that there is only one God yet they also teach that Jesus is God with us. This does not mean that they are the same person or that they have equal positions (video) . "Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death. For he "has put everything under his feet."[c] Now when it says that "everything" has been put under him, it is clear that this does not include God himself, who put everything under Christ. When he has done this, then the Son himself will be made subject to him who put everything under him, so that God may be all in all." 1 Corinthians 15:24-28 (NIV). Paul also writes "...the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God." 2 Corinthians 4:4 (NIV)

Don't make the mistake of thinking that you need to understand all the mysteries of life before you can believe in God. Many cults are started by people who "make-up" a "god" that they can understand and twist the scriptures trying to make them fit. We cannot even comprehend a 4th dimension (and many scientist claim there are at least 10). Is it reasonable to think that we could possibly grasp the God who is outside of time & space who created all the dimensions?

"This man, Jesus the Messiah, is the one who came by water and blood—not with water only, but with water and with blood. The Spirit is the one who verifies this, because the Spirit is the truth. For there are three witnesses in heaven—the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit, and these three are one. And there are three witness on earth—the Spirit, the water, and the blood—and these three are one. If we accept human testimony, God’s testimony is greater, because it is the testimony of God and because he has testified about his Son. The person who believes in the Son of God believes this testimony personally. The person who does not believe God has made him a liar by not believing the testimony that he has given about his Son. This is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is found in his Son. The person who has the Son has this life. The person who does not have the Son of God does not have this life." (I John 5:6-12 ISV)

"For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known." 1 Corinthians 13:12 (NIV). You can see the "proof" of God today in fulfilled prophecy and in changed lives. It may help to note that you will never find God or Jesus involved in a power struggle. They have it all figured out and it is beyond our ability to comprehend... but we are warned not deny the only one who can save us.

"For the Father loves the Son and shows him all he does. Yes, to your amazement he will show him even greater things than these. For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, even so the Son gives life to whom he is pleased to give it. Moreover, the Father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgment to the Son, that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father, who sent him." (John 5:20-23 NIV)

When we use a switch to turn on a light or turn a key to start a car we are not required to know the electronics or the mechanics in order to use these inventions. The scriptures reveal many simple truths with practical applications that are stated over and over that God does expect us to understand and follow but the first step is a relationship with your creator through His Son. Unfortunately many wars, religious factions and cults have started (with great harm to the name of Christianity) by people who claim to be "following God" but do not have a true relationship with Jesus. Watch out for false prophets who pick and choose which scriptures they manipulate out of context and get away from the basic truths of the good news.

There is really only one word in the Bible that the cults try to use to claim that Jesus was created. But when we look carefully at that word, "firstborn" (Colossians 1:15) and see the other reasonably possible intrepretations of the original Greek word and the context, then compare it with the mountain of other verses on this same subject, it becomes obvious that Paul was not trying to imply that Jesus was created but that He is preeminent "over" His creation. It would be deceitful to try and build a whole belief system based on one word or one verse, especially when it would directly contradict dozens of other verses on the same subject. This is why we must look at the whole Bible for proper interpretation.

Jesus Himself warned us against deception...

Jesus answered: "Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Christ, ' and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains. "Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. (Matthew 24:4-14 NIV)

The apostle John gives us concise warning:

"Who is the liar? It is whoever denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a person is the antichrist-denying the Father and the Son. No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also. As for you, see that what you have heard from the beginning remains in you. If it does, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father." (1 John 2:22-24 New International Version)

And the apostle Paul also gives us strict warning:

"For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, masquerading as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve." (2 Corinthians 11:13-15 NIV)

"But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned! As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let him be eternally condemned!" (Galatians 1:8-9 NIV)

To prove Jesus is the promised Messiah using just the Old Testament prophecies, I highly recommend watching the DVD by "Dr. Michael Rydelnik" - "My Search for Messiah" or follow "Zev Porat" messiahofisrael ministries on youtube.

Beware of false doctrines, cults and anyone who tries to convince you not to worship Jesus even if they claim to promote the Bible using words and verses taken out of context as they twist the meaning to something that does not fit with the rest of the scriptures (Jehovah Witness, Latter Day Saints, LDS - Mormon's). We must look at the whole of scripture in proper context for an accurate understanding.
